NEW!  A Note from Ms. Trena:

Dear REMS Families, 

We are so close! As we begin to wind down our final two weeks of school, please remind your student(s) to finish the year out strong.  Our teachers are working diligently to keep routines in order and academics at the focus and we hope that our students will continue to model our core values.  We have very exciting events coming up that we wish for all of our students to be a part of! Thank you, parents, for your continued support at home.  

Important Dates: 
- Monday 5/27 Memorial Day No School 
- Wednesday 5/29 2nd grade Castlewood Canyon 
-Thursday 5/30 All School Play 4:30 PM
-Monday, 6/3  6th g. St. Mary's Glacier 
-Tuesday, 6/4  6th g. Continuation and All School Drum Circle 9 AM; 
6th grade dismissal at 12:00
-Wednesday K-5 Dismissal at 1pm 
-Thursday K-5  Last day of school- Dismissal at 1pm

Here are some quick updates:
Hiring Updates- New to the Crew! 

  • Ms. Cari Lazarony will be joining our Kindergarten Crew next Fall as a Kindie teacher. 
  • Ms. Lauren Wilson will join us as our new half-time Gifted & Talented Interventionist 
  • Ms. Claudia Eve will join us as our new Building Engineer. 

We are still hiring a Security Specialist for the Fall.

"Folk Tales for Fun" presented by grades 5 and 6: 
Come enjoy a free afternoon of theater presented by our 5th and 6th grade crews on Thursday, May 30th at 4:30PM. The show will last about an hour, and will be full of family fun. Whether you're a lover of lore or simply want to support our students, we hope to see you there!

NEW! A Note from Ms. Cari:

Yearbooks are here! The pre-ordered yearbooks will be delivered next Wednesday, May 29th, and the extras will go on sale the next day. Extras are sold first come, first served from the office. Yearbooks are $20 each. Email me if you have any questions.

NEW! News from our Crews:

REMS' alumni from the Class of 2024 came back on Tuesday to be drummed out by our students! Congrats to all the graduates of 2024!  








First grade went on voyage this week! It looks like they had the best time with their crew at Camp Elim.

Fill out this SHORT survey for the Parent Crew Foundation to start matching volunteers to classrooms or before/after school activities! This form is open to the community, so feel free to recruit grandparents, friends and other local experts to come to our school!

Parents, are your kiddos ready for a fun and safe summer?  Douglas County High School’s Athletics Programs offer a variety of day-camps for all ages and abilities.  Our camps are designed for your kid’s enjoyment and your peace of mind that they will be learning about their sport, meeting new kids all while learning new skills.  Our high-energy coaches will develop their skills and their love for physical fitness. We know parenting can be a juggle, so we’re all about making it easy. Drop and go, knowing your kids will have a blast in safe and experienced hands.
