News from Ms. Sami's Crew:

Ms. Sami's 4th-grade Crew is continuing the tradition of the cereal box challenge for their BEAT on February 7. The cereal box challenge is a fun, worldwide challenge that represents a domino effect of cereal boxes and supports local food banks. Ms. Sami's Crew is asking each student and staff member to bring in an unopened box of cereal before Feb. 7th. Thank you!

Our biggest fundraiser of the year is quickly approaching! This event allows us to raise money to pour back into the school, including ongoing grants to the staff for materials and supplies, upcoming professional education opportunities, outdoor and adventure education gear, and more. We need 100 bottles of wine for our wine-wall game. Please donate nice wines to our auction. These count for tax deductions, and volunteer hours! Bottles can be dropped off in the front office.

NEW! Community Involvement Opportunities:

The Foundation for Douglas County Schools is proud to support our DCSD Teachers with the second annual mid-year Lend A Hand School Supply Drive for Teachers! 
Our local communities have once again come together to support the school supply drive from January 1st through January 26, 2024. 
The Douglas County Libraries and Office Depot locations are the anchor donation sites for this year’s drive and have already received generous donations from the community. 

All DCSD Teachers are invited to the Grab&Go events on

Tuesday January 30th and Wednesday January 31st from 4pm to 6pm at the

Canvas Credit Union Community Room, 10000 Park Meadows Dr, LoneTree 80124. 


Donated classroom items will be available for pick up. Availability of popular items is always limited so please be aware that they go quickly!

Please share the Volunteer SignUp if possible. This drive is not possible without the amazing community support and our wonderful volunteers!

News From Our Crews: Our staff had a great time bonding at Chatfield this week. We are ready and excited for this school year to begin! A Note from Ms. Trena: Dear Families,  We are so excited for our school year to begin on Tuesday, August 8th! Before school begins, please join us on Monday from 10-11:30am for a Sneak Peak at REMS .  This is a great opportunity to briefly meet our staff, tour our school, pay fees, turn in voyage paperwork, complete volunteer training, and steep yourselves in all that is REMS.  On Tuesday, beginning at 8:25am students will meet their teachers on the front lawn.  Parents are welcome to take pictures on the lawn before 8:25am then say farewell so that we may begin our school day. News From Our Crews: Tuesday 8AM: Tuesday 4PM: Welcome back! It has been a busy week settling into our new crews and getting a chance to visit IAs.
