Important Dates:

Open Enrollment Round One is November 1, 2022 at 8am - December 1, 2022 at 4pm. 

Families can see offers on December 10th at 8am by logging into EngagED Parent Portal.

Families have until December 17th at 4pm to accept offers.

Second Round will open January 24th, 2023 and run through August 1st, 2023

Families leaving REMS: 

Please let our office staff know as soon as possible if you plan to withdraw from REMS for the 23-24 

school year. 

Election News:

Election Day is approaching! Please consider voting for REMS' funding needs in the Bond/Mill Levy Override.

Election day is quickly approaching. Be sure to turn in your ballot by November 8. Find a ballot box or voting location near you - www.DouglasVotes.com. Be sure to complete both sides of the ballot!

Superintendent Erin Kane talks about the $60 million Mill Levy Override (5A) and the $450 million Bond (5B) that will appear on November's ballot in 2022. Superintendent Erin Kane also addresses some common questions and misinformation about these two ballot initiatives.

Thanksgiving Feast at REMS:

We are so thrilled to welcome back our traditional Thanksgiving Meal at REMS on November 15th during your student's designated lunch time. We will be posting the fees in My School Bucks for parents to pay for their meal. Students will pay from their lunch accounts the day of the meal. Due to ordering and space available in the cafe, please keep RSVPs to one family member per household.  We look forward to celebrating this special day together as a community! 

Apple Award Nominations: 

Please consider nominating your favorite staff member for an Apple Award to show your appreciation and celebrate their commitment to our students! Here is the link for nominations! 

Crew Birthday Invitations:

We continue to work on creating an inclusive environment within our crew.  Unless you are inviting the whole crew, please plan to distribute birthday invitations on your own, outside of school.  Utilizing our grade level contact doc might be helpful for this purpose.  Distributing invitations in select cubbies and/or to students at dismissal leads to hurt feelings. 

NEW! Dismissal Procedures:

In order to make dismissal easier for everyone once we return from Fall Break, we are asking parents who use our Kiss and Go Line to place their students' names and crew in their windshield. The school will be sending home these plaques. Feel free to use these or homemade ones.

Renaissance Middle School Enrollment opens November 1st. (At RSS)

Parent Crew Foundation Joins Colorado Gives Day

Our Parent Crew Foundation has joined the state-wide charitable initiative, Colorado Gives Day, and we have been awarded a $5,000 Newbie Prize for simply joining. We are so grateful to FirstBank for sponsoring this prize, and to the Community First Foundation for hosting this annual event. We are honored to be a member of such a supportive, positive community that helps us further benefit our kids.

Everything was delicious, and the staff overwhelmingly enjoyed each and every item. We are so lucky to have such talented bakers in our Crew, and thank you for sharing your skill and treats with us!

Winners can stop by the front office after school to pick up their prizes. If you left a pan, plate, or other items you can also get those from the front office before or after school.

REMS Spirit Night at Freddy's: Thurs. November 3rd
