Staff Crew at our Staff Retreat at the Garden of the Gods this Monday.

News from Ms. Trena:

Dear REMS Families,

I’d like to begin by extending a heartfelt celebration and deep gratitude to our incredible Parent Crew Foundation for hosting the Renaissance Open this past weekend. Your unwavering commitment to our school community shines through in every detail of this event. By bringing families and supporters together in a spirit of generosity and purpose, you’ve helped raise vital funds that directly sustain cornerstone programs like Adventure Education, Expeditionary Learning, and Social Emotional Learning. These enriching experiences would not be possible without your tireless work and the generous donations from our community—both in person and online. Your benevolence and dedication are truly awe-inspiring, and we are profoundly grateful.

As we look ahead, next week marks Staff Appreciation Week—a time to honor and uplift the extraordinary individuals who make Renaissance Elementary the nurturing, thriving place it is. Our staff shows up each day with compassion, resilience, and an unshakable commitment to our students' growth and well-being. They light the fire, ignite the passion and calm the fears. Celebrating their efforts is more than a gesture; it is a powerful affirmation of the value they bring to our school community. Whether through a simple thank you, a note of encouragement, or a moment of public recognition, each act of appreciation helps build a culture rooted in gratitude and respect. I invite you to join me in recognizing our phenomenal crew throughout the week. I am endlessly proud of their work and continually humbled by the impact they have on our children’s lives. They are the sages that we never knew our children needed. šŸ’™šŸ’š

News from Parent Crew:

A Sincere Thank You
We want to extend our sincerest and deepest thanks to all of our families for helping us make The Renaissance Open an overwhelming success. We are so thankful for everyone who came out to support our school and for all of our families who participated in our online auction. We also want to extend our gratitude to all of the volunteers who made this event happen and our own Leslie Bauer for taking the reins of this great event and making it the success that it was.

Thank you. Seriously. We would not be able to do what we do without you all.

Teacher Appreciation Week
Next week is Staff Appreciation Week across the country. And close to home, we're appreciating our REMS Staff, too. As part of our celebration, each student will be sent home with a "Star" coloring sheet to decorate in their style. Upon completion, please have your students include their name and Teacher's name on the back, and bring it to Ms. Victoria in the office beginning Monday. There are Staff celebrations taking place throughout the week, but we also encourage you to treat your teachers to something personal should you feel so inclined. Their favorites are listed here. We can't wait to celebrate all of our beloved REMS Staff next week!

Showcases for Third and Sixth Grade
Showcases are coming up for our third and sixth grade students, starting next week! Showcase is a time for each individual student to publicly present how they feel they have grown throughout their time at Renaissance. If you have never been a panelist, I highly recommend it!

Below you will find the link to sign up as a Parent Panelist. You will be assigned to a group containing staff members and other parents, and listen to three showcase presentations. You will then contribute to writing a letter to each student, congratulating them on a job well done. It's very easy and a great way to log some volunteer hours!

Please note that you MAY NOT sign up for the same grade level if your student is presenting - so if you have a third grader, you may not sign up for third grade showcases. You can, however, sign up for the other grade level as long as you do not have a student presenting.
