1st Grade leading this week's Crew Beat all about Stewardship!

News from Ms. Trena:

Dear REMS Families,

It is that time of the year where we send off some of our beloved staff members on new adventures outside of the Renaissance family. Please join me in recognizing the following staff for their commitment, love, and dedication to our crew community and to the betterment of our students. Happy trails crew!

Ms. Staci Teague- Art
"With a mix of warmth and wistfulness, I'm sharing that my family is relocating to Texas to be closer to loved ones. While I'm excited to trade in my snow boots for some cowboy boots, I'll deeply miss the vibrant energy of REMS students and community."

Ms. Sami Heimer- 4th gr.
"At the end of this school year, I’ll be saying goodbye to REMS as I begin an exciting new chapter. I will be pursuing my master's in education at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. While I’m so excited for what’s ahead, it’s bittersweet to leave a school and community that has meant so much to me. I want to thank all the wonderful REMS families I’ve had the joy of getting to know and the amazing students I’ve had the privilege to teach and love."

Ms. Summer DeHerrera- Disc.6
"I wanted to personally inform you that I will not be returning as a  teacher for REMS next year.    I have accepted a position in Denver Public Schools as a Gifted Facilitator at a neighborhood GT & HGT school near me. It has been a privilege to teach and work with many of your children over the last two years, and I am incredibly grateful for the support and partnership from all of you. While I will miss the students and our school community, I am excited about the new chapter ahead.Thank you again for the opportunity to be a part of your child's ed-venture. I am so blessed to have joined the REMS crew!"

Ms. Hillary Fendrich- Disc. 4/5
"I have made the difficult decision not to return to REMS next year, as a new opportunity arose that would allow me to continue to grow within my profession. I have accepted a position at Castle Rock Middle School as a math interventionist. I have truly enjoyed my time at REMS and will miss the students and community."

Ms. Bethany Marlow- Kindergarten
"I have made the difficult decision not to return to DCSD in the fall. Renaissance has been an integral part of my family since 2011, when my oldest son began Kindergarten in the very classroom I have taught in for nearly a decade. From first volunteering in the Library 14 years ago, to taking my last crew to Camp Elim next month, it has been my great honor and privilege to teach your children at REMS. I believe deeply in our core values, the ways we teach & reach children, and how we embody Crew with each other and within our community. While it is bittersweet, I am excited to discover what my next chapter will be! Castle Rock is still a small town, so please say hello if you see me out & about. I will miss those hugs and “guess what, Ms. Bethany” conversations! We Are Crew, Always."

We thank each of these crew members for their service to our REMS community and wish them well on their new adventures!
