Important  Dates: 4/26:  Professional Development Day- no school for students 4/30:  New Kindie Parent Orientation 4:30 PM 5/1:   REMS Artwalk 4:15-6:00 PM Note: Change to our calendar- Thursday, June 6th will be a half day with dismissal at 1pm.  NEW!  A Note from Ms. Trena: Spring has sprung at REMS!  Six of our twelve in-house chicks have hatched and are thriving! Many thanks to Ms. Ashley C and Ms. Kristen for supporting the successful launch our of baby chicks.  We also have had our students visit our temporary Star Lab exhibit in the library, where Ms. Erin has taken them on a tour of the constellations, underwater voyages, and time-lapsed city scapes.  Our crews have been awed and inspired by Science this week.  I have absolutely loved curiosity and wonder abuzz in our classrooms this week!  NEW! News from our Crews: Ms. Sami's crew went on a hunt for Cottonwood Sticks in Metzler Park. Cottonwood Sticks play a big part in CO History, which our fourth graders have been passionately studying. Ms. Annie's crew presented the BEAT this week on our crew value perseverance.  Our Battle of the Books team had a private party in the library celebrating the end of another successful season.  Kindergarten invited their grownups in to celebrate the end of their personal narrative writing unit. News from Ms. Trena: It was wonderful to see so many of you at last weekend's auction.  We raised a great deal of money for our Expeditionary Learning programming and I am so grateful to our community for their continued love and support of our Crew!  Our 3rd-6th grade students worked so hard this week at CMAS!  I am very proud of their efforts to take their time and to show what they know on state assessments!  Enjoy the sunshine and beautiful Colorado outdoors this weekend.  In crew,  Ms. Trena  NEW!
