**Reminder** REMS will be closed on Thursday, December 22, 2022 - January 9, 2023.  We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 when school resumes.

Dear REMS Families, 

What a blessing to close out our semester with the performance of Drumming Around The World!  Bravo to Ms. Liesl and all of our crews for their beautiful performance today.  It was absolutely magical to see so many countries and cultures thoughtfully represented today. 


Our teachers have been working diligently to close out the semester with our students. I am extremely grateful for their service and continued dedication in finishing the semester strong and making every moment count with our students. What a memorable first semester! 

We are so fortunate to have such an amazing amount of support and goodwill from our parents, staff and students. I just want to take a moment to recognize everyone and their contribution to growing our community stronger together . It truly does take a village.  Wishing you and your families a season of joy, laughter and love.  I can't wait to see all of you in the new year! Many blessings.

Elementary Progress Reports 

Elementary Progress Reports (EPRs) will be released to parents in the Parent Portal on Friday, December 23 at 9am.  This is an essential snapshot to view your child's current progress towards standards mastery in the first semester.  Our teachers spend a great amount of time reporting out on each child's progress on grade level expectations each semester.  Please take a few minutes to review your child's progress for the 2022-23 school year.

If you know your child is attending a new school in the Fall please let us know ASAP. 

News from our Parent Crew

Volunteer opportunities: 
We have LOTS of ways for you to get involved around our school every day!
Car Line: help keep our crews SAFE at drop off and pick up.
Lunch support: help our kiddos stay focused at lunch time (please do not eat with your kiddo if you sign up, we need your help with all our kiddos!).
Climbing Support: climbing is back and we need all our trained belayers to help make this happen for our kiddos! Sign up for shifts before/after your kiddos' crews too!

Important  Dates: NEW!  A Note from Ms. Trena: Dear REMS Parents,  It was a privilege to celebrate our Visual Arts students this week at R enaissance . We packed the house on Wednesday evening for our annual  REMS Art Walk.  I appreciated seeing so many families come out to celebrate our students and  the many talents of  Ms. Staci  in fostering  students'  creative passions!  I also hope that you all had the opportunity to go out and visit the  Legacy Campus  this week to see our student's artwork on display at the DCSD Art Show. Our students truly represented CREW in their reflective pieces of our core values!  Will P. won Best in Show for Grades 4th-6th Ollie R. won 3rd place for Grades K-3rd Olivia S. received an Honorable Mention for Grades K-3rd  National Archery Shoutouts: Beau B. and Khaison B. competed in the National Archery Tournament in Utah last weekend.
